June Multi-Chamber Luncheon Marketing Opportunities

In June the Magna Chamber will be hosting the Business Matters Luncheon. This luncheon includes members from all the west side Chambers including, Chamber West, West Jordan Chamber, South Jordan Chamber, and Southwest Valley Chamber.

Magna Chamber members have a great opportunity to market their organization to business professionals outside of Magna at the Multi-Chamber luncheon.

Opportunities include:

Attend the luncheon and networking event beforehand. – $20 with RSVP
Reserve a networking table to promote your business. – Chamber members can reserve a table to display information/materials during the networking event. This is free to Chamber members on a first come first served basis. Tables are limited.
Sponsor the luncheon. – For $250 you can sponsor the luncheon, which gets your logo on all marketing materials, including banners, flyers, newsletters. You are also given 90 seconds during the luncheon to promote your business and access to the tables to leave marketing materials. This is a great way to reach beyond Magna at an affordable price.

Community Service Projects needed

The Magna Senior Center is always looking for opportunities to serve our community. In the past they have taken on projects like tieing quilts that are donated to the Ronald McDonald house, or filling candy bags for the Christmas movie day at the local schools. So they are always looking for ongoing projects for the seniors to work on that could benefit local businesses or the community. Projects that work best are ones that they can do at the center, preferably seated and can involve several different people.

Kelly Sanders, CEO of Kennecott Utah Copper will be the featured speaker at the Multi Chamber luncheon on April 18th. Kennecott and Magna have a long intertwined history, so this is sure to be an interesting discussion. The luncheon starts with networking at 11 am, lunch will be at 11:45. The event will be held in the Megaplex Theater at the District in South Jordan.

Chamber After Hours

On March 22nd, the Chamber held a special after hours marketing event at the offices of England Counseling Services. While many in attendance normally end their work day at 5 or so, it was worth staying late to network with other business owners, and learn more about a local business. Michael Boman, Clinical Director from England Counseling shared insight into the services they provide, and issues facing their business.

England Counseling Services provides counseling to individuals, couples and families. Their clinical staff treats school age children, teens and adults in a professional clinical setting. England Counseling Services also provides group treatment for pornography addiction and is currently running eight groups per week utilizing the proven LifeSTAR ™ treatment model.

The evening meeting also provided an opportunity for Chamber members to learn more about issues facing individuals and families in our community that England Counseling specializes in treating. Those in attendance were also able to learn from each other about what is happening in the local business community. Many lucky attendees also walked away with door prizes such as teeth whitening services, books, movie tickets, popcorn coupons, and Jazz tickets.

Chamber After Hour events are scheduled quarterly, your next chance to participate will be June 28^th. The Magna Chamber holds its regular membership meeting on the third Thursday of the month at noon. At the next regular meeting on April 19^th the Chamber will be reviewing the legislative session recently completed this month.
